Year 3

2022/2023

Welcome to the Year 3 class page. The class teachers are Miss Buchanan (Monday and Tuesday) and Miss Coates (Wednesday, Thursday and Friday). 

PE is currently on Tuesday. The children need to bring their PE kits in for the term. They will change into their PE kits at school and will change back into their school uniform before going home. 

Important Information

Homework is due in on Tuesdays and handed out on Thursdays. The spelling test will take place on Wednesdays. 

Listening to your child read can make a huge difference to their education and progress in school. The children all have a reading record and leveled reading book that should be brought into school and taken home every day. 

They are able to change their reading books as and when they ask to do so, so please prompt your child as needed. They will be checked and swapped weekly on their guided reading day.

Our topics for the year are:

Term 1 and 2 - Underneath. 

Term 3 and 4 - Innovators Across the World.

Term 5 and 6 - Go Wild.

Year 3 had William Hamilton-Davies come to visit to read us his book. We really enjoyed drawing the characters from his book 'The Shrew with the Flu'.
